Most event platforms in the music industry focus only on listings and functionality, but fail to capture the culture and emotion behind the experience.
Users often:
See events as simple listings rather than experiences
Struggle to discover authentic underground scenes
Lack connection with artists and community
Experience platforms that feel generic and uninspired
This creates a gap between the digital experience and the real-life energy of the underground scene.
I designed the platform to focus not only on usability but also on atmosphere and identity:
Culture-driven storytelling through bold typography and messaging
Event discovery system with visual cards and filtering by city
City-based exploration to highlight global underground hubs
Artist-focused sections to build deeper connection with performers
Immersive dark UI to reflect nightlife and underground aesthetics
Strong CTAs like “Submit Event” to encourage community participation

Designed a strong visual identity using high-contrast neon accents to reflect techno culture
Used large typography and bold messaging to create emotional impact
Structured navigation into Events, Artists, and Cities for intuitive exploration
Built card-based layouts for easy browsing and scanning
Added filtering system to reduce friction in event discovery
Created immersive sections instead of traditional layouts to enhance engagement
Balanced aesthetics with usability to avoid overwhelming the user

The main goal of this project was to bridge the gap between functionality and emotion. Instead of designing a typical event platform, I focused on creating an experience that feels alive, expressive, and connected to underground culture.
This project taught me that UX is not only about usability, but also about creating the right feeling. When design reflects the identity of its audience, it becomes more memorable, engaging, and impactful.
